The Trager Approach

Discover effortless movement through the TragerŪ Approach with Pam Marsh. As a certified practitioner, Pam uses Trager's Somatic techniques to help clients achieve and sustain an overall sense of well-being, as well as a stronger integration of mind and body. Using soothing, rhythmic movements, Pam is able to gently and gradually reeducate and change established patterns in the body, patterns that control the way we live our lives. With the modification of these patterns, typically caused by stress, injury, trauma or illness, clients are able to release negative holding patterns and experience feelings of increased flexibility, lightness and calm.

A typical treatment session can last from 60 to 90 minutes. The client, wearing loose clothing and lying on a cushioned treatment table is relaxed and comfortable as the gentle, natural movement work is performed. And, with each session, the mind and central nervous system begin a retention process, remembering and storing the relaxed feelings generated through the treatment. Multiple sessions not only deepen the feelings and reinforce pattern changes, they are known to calm the neurological system as well.
